Saggy pants wearers may be wearing belts or at least lifting up the pants if a new state law or ordinance gets passed. If it all goes as planned pants wearers who have their pants worn below the buttocks will be ticketed for a mister meaner and paying a fine. If they are repeat offenders they’ll wind up with paying up to $1000. Most Memphians said they find the unsightly dress style insulting and a form of indecent dress for public appearance. Politicians and citizens are busy trying to get the ordinance passed and banned.

You’ve read that ban correctly. Last week an independent poll from the Public Policy Polling a firm based in North Carolina indicated that they conducted a poll consisting of 400 Republicans who answered they are against inter-racial marriages. While 46% said they are for banning inter-racial marriages and making them illegal, 40% said they think it should be allowed. There was 14% who were unsure. It has been only 45 years that inter-racial marriages have been legal in Mississippi. The poll was conducted by telephone between March 24 and 27, 2011 with a margin of error of plus or minus at 4.9%. The same firm stated they have or will be conducting a similar poll among non-Republicans voters asking the same question of making inter-racial marriages illegal.
Are your surprised they want to oust out that inter-racial wedding band?

The Hollywood Car Wash has been currently banned for servicing it’s customers because presently it’s been sited as a public nuisance. The car wash has been closed due to numerous complaints from neighborhood tenants. Recent police reports stated there has been at least 100 arrests on the property of the car wash. The owner has been ordered to appear in court to be forced to pay up or face the band to clean up the property and make it more environmentally friendly. The car was is located in North Memphis not far from Hollywood Elementary School.
Hurray for Hollywood!

Mayor A.C. Wharton and Memphis City School Superintendent Kriner Cash are busy negotiating ways the city will be paying back million dollars the city used to balance it’s budget over two years ago. The school sued the City of Memphis in 2010 for misuse of the MCS funding. The Mayor said that 44 million was paid back yesterday and that he and the superintendent will be making a final settlement to restore the remaining 57 million still owed. The Mayor said the debt will get paid.
“That’s a school band!”
The City danced to the music…now hey!
