Teen Severely Burned In Clinton House Fire
Dec. 3, 2011 CLINTON, S.C. -- The Augusta Burn Unit in Atlanta, GA says that Brooklyn Young has passed away...On Friday afternoon 14-Year Old Brooklyn Young passed away from her injuries sustained during a fire on Thanksgiving Day. The fire started around 8 p.m. Wednesday night at 313 North Adair Street in Clinton. “Everything is gone and I didn’t know it was that bad,” said James Crawford. Crawford says two people were at home at the time the fire started, his cousin Sonya Adams and her 14-year-old daughter Brooklyn Young. According to Clinton Public Safety, the teen was airlifted to Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia. According to the Clinton Public Safety Chief Brooklyn Young was trying to light a fire in the fire place using flammable liquids. This has been ruled an accident.
