SPRING SEASON'S FIRST
Issue 2
Dear Gardeners:
It's that Spring season and here we are lovers of things that grow. Planting and growing flowers or vegetables may have it's challenges this Spring. I say this because, well that Winter's coolness is still lingering in many places we grow. But, when the break in the weather gets better we are busy getting those first season of things to grow. When I think of first flowers I think of tulips and lilacs. While just looking in my small back yard I noticed the lilacs my sister planted a few years ago showing their first blooms. I was suprised because it looked as if they came overnight. It's been a tough winter! I do have to get busy and plan some first blooms in the next week by just visiting the garden store and potting some blooms in pots for my porch. Along with painting the porch, I have to get all my vacation days of Spring with a task for each day.
If you are looking for some first flowers you can bring home and you didn't plant bulbs in the fall, get busy at your local garden stores and look for first season flowers that you can enjoy now. You'll find an array of colors to match you own particular pleasure. Tulips will decorate almost any grounds and pots. They like both sun and some shade. Beautiful in arrangements you can start them in a small bed. For vegetable gardeners they can plant their firsts too. Sowing greens and planting the first of crops of tomatoes, orka, beans and peas for May and June. The dirt will need tilling and rolls of your firsts are just there for your making.
I haven't began yet, but I've been promised by my son that's he'll help. He wants to plant elephant ears on the boarders of the porch. They are lovely and if I chose to plant them, we'll see who'll water them during the summer. I have a feeling that if it's not rain, it'll be me who'll take that task. He'll be far away I'll think he'll be elsewhere away from any watering hoses. I've drifted away with you in this letter, but we'll get together next month. Besides, I have to catch up!
I'll write you then next month. Looking for some tips on your first flowers, or vegetable garden. Share it with me. Love you of course I do!
So tell me how does your gardens grow?
I'd surely like to know..
Mine grows with
LOTS OF LOVE
