DEAR GARDENERS
DECORATING SPRING WITH TULIPS
APRIL ISSUE 2015
Dear Gardeners:
With Spring going into full blast you'll notice those gardens planted with tulips will all spring up out of the ground. It has also a certain significance with Easter in a rememberance of Ressurection Sunday. However, tulips can add wonderful decor to your home as well. Decorating with great flower arrangements using tulips can be beautifying and fun!
Even if you don't grow your own tulips, there is nothing really preventing you to add the zesty color of them around your indoors and or outdoors areas. You simply just have the want the imagination they show to brighten your space with their lovely warm and springtime flavor. If your are purchasing your tulips look for things like strong stems, leaves that don't appear limp, scraps and bruises. Many floral shops give expiration dates. You can buy them in bunches, or in a pre-made bouquet which you can spice up with blossoms from blooming trees such as the lovely Dogwood trees, peach trees and numerous others that produces a temporary bloom during this time of year.
Using vases is another perk in decorating your special table, or desk. I love glass pitchers and oddly shape vases. You can use buckets to fill them in too! Not to worry if you don't have any of those things, visit your local thrift shops and find many shaped vases for little costs. They come in all sizes and shapes and are ready to hold your tulips decor celebration. If you hand cut your tulips from your own gardens; be sure to use a slight angle to cut them and add them quickly to waiting water. I've heard suggestions that dissolving an asperin in the vase water helps longer their lifespan, but it isn't a proven theory that I'm sure of. You can try it though!
Now, the only thing left is you getting busy and loading the Spring around your great places at home. Invite your friends, neighbors, and of course; family to share the delight. It's so easy to find the beautiful things often overlooked. It kinda warms your heart to have a joy of Spring. Your heart will feel fully decorated if nothing else.... I think I'll get busy making some tulips decors today! Meanwhile, I'm thinking of you and always the company of beautiful gardens and flowers, along with beautiful vegetables which you accent your tulips on kitchen tables! Just a note about my friend Dearest Irma she loved and grew tulips...I hope they are blooming around her home right now....
I'll be writing you next month, so look for my letter.
How does your gardens grow..
I'd surely like to know,
mine grows with lots of love.
Love and Harmony,
MIISRAEL
