Job Highlights:
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Monday-Friday
10-hour shifts, four days a week (hours and days may vary)
Location: Foxwoods Casino and/or 450 Columbus Blvd in Hartford, CT
Position Responsibilities:
This position is a designated essential employee and the primary role is to support the regulation of legalized gaming activities within the State of Connecticut. This is conducted by providing information and assistance to licensee, patrons and employees regarding the application of agency rules and regulations, procedures, policies and statutes. The Gaming Regulation Officer will examine facility, grounds, equipment and gaming activities to assure compliance with licensing requirements, agency policy and security regulations; investigates patron complaints and effects resolutions; and maintains records and prepares reports.
The Gaming Regulation Officer will also be responsible for:
Monitors a casino gaming operation;
Observes currency exchanges and counts;
Observes and records movement of slot machines;
Identifies deficiencies in the system of internal control of a casino licensee and recommends appropriate changes;
Monitors state-of-the-art developments in casino operations;
Checks employee licenses to determine validity;
May be required to lead an assigned shift in the absence of the Consumer Protection Gaming Regulation Supervisor;
Coordinating and liaising with gaming industry licensees and other stakeholders;
Perform related duties as assigned.
DCP Gaming Division:
The DCP Gaming Division is responsible for regulating legal gambling programs in Connecticut which is comprised of casinos, lottery, off-track betting (OTB), sports wager & online sports wagering, online casino gaming and fantasy contests. This is accomplished through a rigorous program of game and system approvals, licensing, inspections, monitoring, audits, and investigations which are conducted to best safeguard consumer interest and integrity of the gaming process.
