S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our advanced assembler function. As an advanced assembler, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse teamIn this job, you will perform a variety of assembly and test positions for IntelliRupter and Power Quality products. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, and must meet requirements within time constraints. Considerable initiative required to run and process all IntilliRupter units through test and assembly cells, a fast-paced multi-station process. As a Test Technnician, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team that works to keep the lights on around the world.  Key Responsibilities:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</li><li>Assemble and test IntelliRupter products based on the documentation including bills of material, blueprints and any change notices provided by the engineering staff.</li><li>Complete testing at timing stations and run switch through 4 operations station.</li><li>Complete mechanical work including disconnect assemblies.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting electrical issues</li></ul> You will be performing the following tests:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Timing Test capacitor voltage 425 DC</li><li>Partial Discharge Test AC voltage 50KV</li><li>Dielectric test 3 phase AC voltage 60KV-70KV</li><li>Calibration test parallel AC voltage 8.7KV-18KV in series 600 amps.</li><li>3 phase AC high voltage 8.7KV -18KV with 20 amps – 45 amps. </li><li>Low voltage test capacitor voltage 425 DC</li></ul> What you’ll Need To Succeed:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>High voltage electrical experience is required to run the required test cells. 5KV / 3phase</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work from complex blueprints, wiring drawings, schematic diagrams, and specifications.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge and experience to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues. </li><li>Demonstrate experience using and operating machining tools, hand-held tools, wiring equipment, wrenches, torque tools, and other tools. </li><li>Must follow all S&C safety standards.</li></ul> Relevant Work Experience:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Two years of experience in electronic assembly and wiring with 5KV</li><li>2-year technical degree preferred. </li><li>Candidates with electrical or mechanical trade school education may also be considered in lieu of experience </li></ul>  Education  Required: <ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>A High School Diploma or GED required </li></ul>  Physical demands: <ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.</li><li style="line-height:115%;tab-stops:list .5in;">Other: Respirator certification required.      </li></ul>    S&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
