The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $71700 - $93810. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria. Join Our Team as a Supervisor – Inspection (Quality Assurance)!The Quality Assurance organization provides a variety of services aimed at helping its internal customers, S&C leaders and team members, deliver superior quality to our customers. Quality planning, inspection, audit, quality information, quality improvement consulting, and quality communications are examples of the kind of services that the organization provides.This position will report to the site Manager – Quality Assurance. In this job, you will be primarily responsible for leading a team that supports mechanical inspection, and incoming/component inspection.  This job will require constant attention to detail, solid problem-solving and project management skills, excellent communication & organizational skills, and a strong ability to operate within the existing Oracle database and adapt to new software programs being implemented at S&C.The inspection supervision responsibilities will include creating and maintaining inspection plans, working with S&C Fabrication Supervisors and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues, and making sure all non-conformances are documented in the Oracle NMR collection plan. Finally, the leader will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of Oracle software for all fabrication and incoming supplied parts.The mechanical inspection responsibilities will include verifying all required mechanical assembly inspections are completed using approved standards and ensuring that all defects coming off the product lines are recorded appropriately.Also in this role, supporting tool control and calibration-related responsibilities will be of importance, including verification that all instruments are calibrated on time, investigating any non-conforming instruments to verify that product quality has not been compromised, and handling administrative logistics, such as creating purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and scheduling on-time calibration and recertification of measuring tools belonging to the inspection team.Key Responsibilities:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Team leadership: Lead the team of mechanical and component (incoming) inspectors providing tactical, strategic, and developmental direction and support.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ensure all required inspections and reactions are completed correctly and timely</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Develop, maintain and report relevant inspection and NMR KPIs</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Utilize trend data to analyze and adjust to drive improvement.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Collaborating with operations supervisors to assure consistent inspection coverage and to resolve inspection quality issues as they arise.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Collaborating with Product Engineering on CSPs and RMAs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Collaborating with Supplier Quality Engineers on supplier quality issues.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Collaborating with customer reps to resolve product related issues.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Providing technical support for team members on QA processes.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Hosting customers for Factory Acceptance & Test (FAT) visits.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>What you’ll Need To Succeed:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">High school diploma / GED Equivalent</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Demonstrated high regard for people by treating them with dignity, respect, fairness and consistency.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Demonstrated good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Demonstrated ability to support S&C’s policies, practices and procedures.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Advanced PC skills, including competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to maintain accurate Quality records.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to travel as needed to support the business.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to change your start times on short notice as needed.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to represent S&C in front of suppliers and customers.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">One to three years' experience leading projects, teams, or departments is a Plus.</li></ul>Preferred: <ul><li>Associate’s degree in technical discipline, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.</li></ul>MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Standing: Many tasks performed in a standing position with frequent walking.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Lifting: Occasional lifting of items ranging in weight from 2 to 30 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Walking: Frequent walking relatively short distances (total one to two miles).</li></ul>S&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
