LPS Lead

Our commitment gives you opportunities to impact on and off the job positively. </p><p>Join Our Team as a LPS Lead!</p><p><strong>Work arrangement: </strong>Onsite</p><p><strong>Travel: </strong>Occasional travel to offsite meetings may be required</p><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. <strong>The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $87990 - $116578.</strong> Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. </p><p>This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 5% of annual base earnings.</p><p>Our Lean Performance Systems (LPS)Team is growing and we are looking for a Lean expert to join the team!. The LPS organization has overall responsibility for the development and deployment of S&C’s Lean Performance Systems. The primary contribution of the LPS Lead is to help leaders and team members achieve improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and human development. While doing so, the individual also builds leader and team member problem-solving and coaching capabilities and reinforces S&C values and associated expectations. Other contributions include developing and deploying lean methods and tools and developing standards for same. This role will report to the Vice President - Production Operations. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Facilitate improvement projects while collaborating with business owners at multiple (Team Leader, Supervisor and Manager) levels within S&C Canada.</li><li>Conduct time studies, develop Standard Work and facilitate Kaizen activities.</li><li>Coach leadership through activities related to problem solving, measurement & analysis to continually improve the process, and coaching for improvement.</li><li>Work closely with team members and leadership to ensure the changes implemented in the process are sustained.</li><li>Assist and help develop continuous improvement approaches, methods, and tools.</li><li>Deliver training related to LPS (e.g., standardized work, problem solving, etc.).</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise where needed.</li></ul><p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in engineering, business or equivalent experience. </li><li>5+ years of experience successfully leading improvement projects. Experience in the automotive/ aerospace sector considered an asset.</li><li>Demonstrated ability successfully leading the development and implementation lean processes and tools.</li><li>Demonstrated success applying change management principles and tools.</li><li>Demonstrated coaching and teamwork skills along with strong written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings. </li><li>Excellent project management and facilitation skills demonstrated by good organization and time management skills.</li><li>Previous supervisory experience considered an asset.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office applications</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Effort:</strong></p><p>Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace.
