The Calm in the Storm (400 hits)

Have you ever stood and stared at the ocean? It has a way of just lifting your spirit and freeing your soul. If I ever feel like my world has ended, nothing revives me more than spending some time losing myself in my Father's creation.

Often life gets really tough, and we wonder if we will ever get over or through that mountain that stands before us, yet one look at the sea, and we are witnesses to a constant driving force of nature. God said, "I am the same yesterday, today and forever." Just one look around at this beautiful world He has given us proves His Word. If He is unfailingly faithful in the seasons and in the tides, then surely He will remain faithful in our lives. I guess, like any human I look at my problem, and it is so fresh in my eyes that it encompasses everything.

Take your eyes off your circumstance for a moment and look about you. Look into the lives of others and look at the beauty that goes by you unnoticed everyday. God is in all these things. He is with, in and around you all the time, forever making plans for you, dreaming up blessings for you, and holding you close to His heart.

Child, I know how weak your heart is, and I am aware of how you struggle to comprehend these matters of life. You are so busy looking for answers that you have forgotten The Answer. You try to analyze your situation and try to think it through. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end. I brought you into this. Am I not then able to bring you through it victoriously? Do not rely on man, for man is not your source. Man will always let you down and break your heart, but I am ever there, thinking of you, loving you. I hold you in my arms as a mother with her precious infant.

The infant, so ignorant and helpless wields itself up, and in so doing rests comfortably in the knowledge that every need will be provided. Am I not better than this? Will I not supply your need, not only in measure but in abundance? Trust me child. Dare to place your hand in mine. Dare to open your heart and set it naked before me. I am waiting here in eagerness for your trust and surrender. When you give everything up to me, then I will be able to give it back to you again in abundance.

Thanks Miisrael for stopping by this blog. God is so good, eh?

God is truly a awesome Wonder who has created a beautifully magnificent world for humans to live, but if only we could take better care of it. I love going to the park and just lying out on the grass looking up at the sky. It's very tranquil and helps me to appreciate the beauty of the place.

@ Saint,

It's a "dog-eat-dog-world" out here and its a necessity for me to have on my spiritual garments in order to defeat the forces of darkness.
