Today...
As I drove my car down a busy street I saw a homeless man at least I only can assume he was without shelter holding a sign up. I didn't bother to read the sign, but I know it's one of many popular signs of Will Work for Food. At one of the hundreds of corners beggers to hold their signs up for cars driving byin any given town or city large or small. However, the true life situation was he may have truly been homeless or hungry. As the traffic light turned red the driver of the vehicle in front me rolled down their window and handed him a bill. It could of been a dollar or even more. Quickly, he took and placed it safely away in his pocket. Like me others observed the kind stranger's giving, and then a second driver on my left decided to follow through with a similar kindness by waving a bill to the man which he took with the same eagerness and a gentle thank you. I didn't give to him today, but felt a happiness that two people did. I thought of where one's willing to help out usually there are others who will follow. And then, there are those who are just as joyful in heart like I am to know that kindness has not totally disappeared, even when we are among total strangers.
That's true to life.
Colossians: 3
14. And above all these things, put on
charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
