Tuesday is Election Day — and with the long lines at the polling venues and the nonstop news coverage comes a nearly unprecedented opportunity to shape the nation’s future.
“I’ve heard other commentators say, and I agree completely, that this is the most important election in my lifetime to date, because the future of what our country is going to look like is at stake,” said Col. Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. “Are we going to have a nation that says we will honor the value of religious liberty that has been threatened by the current administration? The values of life and religious liberty are the key cornerstones for our country.”
While the general public is concerned about the economy, energy prices, foreign policy and the strength of the military, value voters are using additional criteria to select their candidates — their stance on marriage, the sanctity of human life and religious liberty.
