Your grandparents never saw this coming. Your parents may not have either. Unfortunately, it’s now happening all around you: religious freedom is under unrelenting attack.
Here are 10 attacks on religious freedom we recently stopped or are currently battling in legal proceedings throughout the United States:
1. Defending a teacher who was fired because he gave a student his Bible.
2. Stopped a university from allowing a professor to demand that students stomp on a paper with ‘Jesus’ written on it.
3. Stopped a school district’s ban that prohibited cheerleaders from quoting the Bible on run-through banners at sporting events.
4. Stopped the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) from banning youth pastors’ visits to school campuses during lunch.
5. Litigating to stop another attack by the FFRF, which is seeking the permanent removal of a picture of Jesus from a school after 65 years.
Help Thwart These Attacks on Religious Freedom
6. Stopped the enforcement of a discriminatory zoning ordinance that blocked a growing church from relocating.
7. Advising the Boy Scouts of America in their recent policy dilemma and how the decision could greatly impact religious liberty.
8. Working to stop Christian organizations and businesses from being forced by the Obama Administration’s HHS mandate to provide insurance for abortion-inducing drugs and directly violate their religious beliefs and conscience.
9. Working to stop veterans memorials from being torn down throughout the country, including in California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, North Carolina and Oregon.
10. Working to stop fearful communities and schools from having to cave into the 1,004 letters sent to public entities by the FFRF and similar anti-religious freedom groups, demanding that all references to God be removed from the public arena.
Attacks by radical organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) must be stopped. Now.
The reality is that every day we get more calls and more cases asking for our help. We can only take the most egregious ones, the ones which, if not stopped, will do the most harm to your first freedom.
