Since many of us are not shocked by the latest news of our U.S. Government keeping watch of telephones, and on-line communications. There may be some whom will get a little offended. It's become such a requirement in days of terrorists. I don't think too many people feel violated. However, this may mean more watching will be opened to all world societies today.
Someone will be watching you.
Let's hope it's all beneficial to us; and not issue way to gain total power over people.

We live in a more technological society, and nothing is 100% private nowadays, not even your TV viewing habits. There's always someone watching you.

The problem is we are talking about what used to be private business records, which the phone companies have always maintained for billing, traffic management and other business purposes.
Now these records are being used to arbitrarily track the relationships of virtually any citizen, at the whim of the government. I would call that constitutionally unlawful search and seizure.
But Obama says the Constitution is a "living" document, therefore open to any interpretation he wishes.

The NSA has run ads here on BIA right? So certainly they can see all my posts on chemtrails for instance. If they don't like me talking about chemtrails, I'm sure they can easily obtain my phone number. Now they've got the phone records and can easily search on my number and see everyone I talk to, everyone they talk to and so on. Repeat this process with all other known chemtrail talkers and before long they have a very extensive database of chemtrail talkers.

I just read an update from the President in which he stresses that the surveillance is not about listening to what being said, yet mainly following any links and venues that terrorists may be using. True enough every citizen may be and can be pinpointed at anytime. Obama wants it be understood the reasoning behind the whole "once secrecy survey" is that it has better intentions for protecting the American people than harming them. However, I believe many of persons only want to know just how far this will be watching be extended. As for privacy, I think we lost that many years ago. There is simply no way to regain all privacy again, so I'm suggesting perhaps just keeping watch of your own actions and limiting any strange communications if you're not certain who they are ; or from whence they come.
Steve, your petition sounds helpful and in highlight of that, I hope it can will duly equated as well. Yes, watching eyes are upon us.
And I'm agreeable with you Siebra in your statement that there isn't anything that 100% private nowadays. Every scan of your credit /debit card or any electronic scans for shopping, your banking, your buying gas, and even as your own television programs there's some one watching what you're doing. I repeat though let's hope it's all beneficial for a common good to all Americans.
