Public Comment Sought for New Competition to Build, Develop and Expand High-Quality Preschool Programs (1032 hits)

February 4, 2014, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius announced that the US Dept. of Ed. Administration plans to use $250 million for a major new competition to build, develop and expand high-quality preschool programs, working with local communities and with states across the country, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. What do you think about this? This effort will include $250 million in new Race to the Top to States grants for improving early childhood care and education. These two departments are asking for you comments, ideas, suggestions by February 26, 2014. Please visit the Homeroom Blog! for more detailed information and post your response before the deadline.
