The top news of the week peaked with a story of ruins. As many in the great city are revealed to what is around them. Rome is becoming a deteriorating city. As local news spread on news channels and on the internet medias many commentaries voiced about the growing infrastructure Rome is facing. Many of the streets are in bad condition and others are noticing the "degrado" of Rome's present looks. In a article published Wednesday, July 24, 2015 on line by the New York Times the article stated " the eternal city is falling apart." In addition news of the local newspaper the Il Messaggero devoted front page articles concerning the deterioration of it's city's streets and public view. The news televison channels also peaked in with news stating that Rome is not loved by Americans because it has become a city of corruption and filth. The mayor of Rome is being encouraged to resign however, the Prime Minster of Rome Matteo Renzi in a televison interview refused to comment. Mayor Marion is hopeful that something will be done in September to aid in restoring Rome's beautifying of its parks and cleaning up garbage around ancient ruins. The mayor quoted in article from La Repubblicia anewspaper interview "We re-established legality in balanced sheets....Now we have to improve the quality of life."
