Today’s Marriage Prayer – To Choose Our Words Wisely (369 hits)

Dear Heavenly Father,

Our words hold great power. Some days they build up and encourage, while other days they tear down and destroy.

Please teach us to use them wisely.

The tongue is a mighty force. Help us to fine tune this instrument for Your glory and honor.

Grant us the wisdom to know when to speak and the right words to say.

May our words be seasoned with wisdom and grace. Let our voices ring forth with loving kindness and praise that builds up our marriage and unites us together as one.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. – Ephesians 4:29, KJV

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. – Ephesians 4:29, NIV
